Origins and first steps

Luisa Chicano is a dancer from Malaga, born and based in Malaga, whose career is characterised by a deep connection with flamenco tradition. Since her youth, she has been recognised as a “most flamenco lady of flamenco dance” who possesses race, tradition and intensity in her performances.

He began performing on boards and stages along the Costa del Sol, where he forged his style through early encounters with classical and local masters. He also worked in important flamenco venues in the area and had his first performances at a young age.

Career Path

• taken part in the Málaga Flamenco Art Biennial, premiering the show “Soleá”, a work paying tribute to this demanding style. 

• He has acted in municipal cycles such as the Malaga Municipal Flamenco School (21st edition).

• Her dancing has been acclaimed for her expressive mastery of arms, hands, and movements, as well as her elegant stage composition. 

• She has displayed her art not only in Malaga, but also abroad: she has toured Spain, Europe and even Japan, performing in important theatres.

“Soleá”is one of Luisa Chicano's most representative shows. Premiered in 2025 at the Teatro Villa de Nerja as part of the Málaga Flamenco Art Biennial, under the artistic direction of Susana Lupiáñez The Wolves, accompanied by renowned musicians. 

This show highlights the soleá, its rhythmic and expressive complexity, as well as Luisa's ability to convey emotion with purity.
